AMD launched the AMD FX family of CPUs that will deliver fully personalized experience for the user's desktop computer. The
AMD FX processor is the first eight-core desktop, which enables
multi-display extreme gaming, mega-tasking and HD content creation. It
also marks the first retail availability of the new processor
architecture based on multi-core AMD Bulldozer by name, including the
upcoming AMD CPU for servers under the name Interlagos and the next
generation of AMD APU (15/11).
All
AMD FX CPUs offer a clock multiplier that is completely open to the use
of overclocking easier, as well as paving the way for PC enthusiasts to
enjoy higher CPU speeds and increased performance. These
processors use AMD Turbo Core Technology to optimize performance across
CPU cores dynamically, allowing maximum performance for high workload.

Without
the need for additional funding, the user can combine AMD FX CPU with
AMD chipsets 9 Series graphics cards and AMD Radeon ™ HD 6000 AMD
Scorpius to create a platform to bring HD gaming and entertainment
experience. As
part of the Scorpius platform, AMD FX CPUs also support AMD CrossFireX ™
technology, which allows the combination of multiple graphics cards in a
PC for visual experiences, and AMD Eyefinity technology support for
super resolution on up to six monitors. With
the AMD Catalyst Control Center / AMD VISION Engine Control Center,
users can get regular updates to help improve system performance and
stability, and to update the software.
